Public Transport Traffic Signs Installed in Kota Tua

The West Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency installs traffic signs for public transport routes at three points in Kota Tua area.

"It aims to support the implementation of Low-emission Zone (LEZ)

Umbul Gunawan, Division Head of Public Transport said those three points were Jalan Jembatan Baru, Pinangsia Urban Village (Taman Sari), Jalan Pintu Kecil, and Jalan Tiang Bendera, Roa Malaka Urban Village (Tambora).

"It aims to support the implementation of Low-emission Zone (LEZ)," he expressed, Wednesday (3/10).

By so, he hoped that drivers, especially public transport, could obey the prevailing regulations.

"Hopefully they are obedient and disciplined thus the Kota Tua can be tidier, more orderly and comfortable," he said.

In the meantime, Mohammad Gathan (40), one of residents stated it is hoped that pedestrians will feel more safe and comfortable when passing through the area. Moreover, the Kota Tua area is much better than it was two years ago.

"I often visit there, my hope is it will be more organized and tidy," stated a resident from Joglo, Kembangan.
