Central Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-agency held an integrated food inspection in four traditional markets and one supermarket on Wednesday (3/17).

Central Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head, Penty Yunesi Pudyastuti conveyed, food inspection was carried out to check whether food commodities sold by traders contain of hazardous substance or not. This inspection was conducted at Johar Baru Market, Jati Rawasari Market, Rawasari Market, Gembrong Johar Baru Market and Grand Pramuka Lotte Supermarket.
"Thank God, there is no hazardous substance in samples taken from food they sell," she said.
KPKP Agency Intensifies Fresh Food Inspection in 65 LocationsAccording to her, food inspections will be carried out routinely ahead of Ramadan. This year, her side will hold inspections as many as 18 times in different locations.
"It is done to ensure food commodities which sold are not containing hazardous substances such as chlorine, formalin, rhodamine, and borax," she explained.
