The Koja Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Executing Unit has alerted dozens of pumps to anticipate flooding, especially during heavy rains.
All pumps and pump houses are currently in prime condition and ready for use
Koja Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head Jeri Widian said that there are still a number of areas prone to flooding in his region, especially during heavy rain, such as on Jalan Mangga (Tugu Utara), Jalan Mahoni (Tugu Utara) and Jalan Dukuh (Lagoa).
"Dozens of pumps have been alerted to suck up rainwater. After that we will follow up with draining the water channel thus the water capacity can be accommodated optimally," he expressed, Tuesday (3/23).

e disclosed those pumps alerted included two jet fire pump units with 1,002 liters per second capacity, three floating pump units with 1,002 liters per second capacity, two Alkom pumps with 335 liters per second capacity and one mobile pump unit with 200 liters per second capacity.Aside that, a number of stationer pumps also alerted at pump houses with the following details:
1. Two stationary pumps with 2,000 liters per second capacity at Pinang Pump House
2. One stationary pumps with 500 liters per second capacity at Lagoa Pump House
3. Two stationary pumps with 2,000 liters per second capacity at Pocis JICT Koja Pump House
4. Three stationary pumps with 5,000 liters per second capacity at Sunter III Reservoir Pump House (Rawa Badak Pump House)
5. Two stationary pumps with 1,000 liters per second capacity at Sindang Pump House
6. Two stationary pumps with 500 liters per second capacity at Bendungan Melayu Pump House
7. Two stationary pumps with 500 liters per second capacity at Plumpang Pump House.
"All pumps and pump houses are currently in prime condition and ready for use. We also always carry out routine maintenance," he stated.
