The East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-agency has installed three mobile pumps to alleviate flooding in Pulogebang and Kampung Melayu areas, East Jakarta, on Wednesday (2/24).
Fire and Rescue Division Head Gatot Sulaeman disclosed those pumps consisted of one quick response on Jalan Sawo Kecik, Pulogebang Urban Village, precisely behind the Kodim 0505/East Jakarta Headquarters.
Central Jakarta Adds 5 Mobile Pumps in 4 Flood-Prone LocationsAs for Kampung Melayu Urban Village, the sub-agency installed one pump with 2,000 liters per second capacity and one watermist on Jalan Kebon Pala, RW 04 and 05.
"We install them to clean up mud left by the floods," he said.
To optimize it, ten personnel also had been alerted at the location.
"We spray mud into the river. Thus far all goes without any hindrance," he stated.
