PKK's 49th, Anies Hopes TP PKK Program Has Positive Impact on Family Resilience

The Jakarta Provincial Government, held the 49th PKK Unity Movement Day commemoration with the theme Optimizing PKK Competencies in the Context of Stunting Prevention in Jakarta online and via live streaming at Youtube channel belonging to the Jakarta Child Protection and Empowerment and Population Control (PPAPP) Agency, Carik Jakarta and Jakarta TP PKK, on Wednesday (3/24) noon.

On that occasion, Jakarta G overnor Anies Baswedan the COVID-19 outbreak was a historic event that required TP PKK cadres not to stagnate, but instead continue to develop, be creative, and innovative. Thus the output of its program had a positive impact in efforts to strengthen family resilience, especially in difficult situations like now.

"Hopefully all Pokja and the PKK Secretariat programs, starting from family empowerment programs, superior programs and partnerships can be framed in one unit of quality program outcomes. Certainly we need to strengthen program consolidation through various breakthroughs and innovations," he expressed.

Discipline, volunteerism, exemplary, professionalism, and teamwork were stated to be very important in implementing the PKK program. The governor also reminded that it was undeniable that the Industrial Revolution 4.0 which was marked by the digital era, resulted in changes in society and caused digital disruption. There had been a massive change from offline to online.

"The digital era nowadays has led to fundamental changes in various aspects of family life. It requires them (PKK) to anticipate strategic programs. I hope for the collaboration and synergy of PKK cadres with various other community institutions in managing PKK strategic programs," he furthered.

Even he also expressed his appreciation to all levels of the PKK Team for the implementation of the event.

Jakarta TP PKK Chairwoman Fery Farhati conveyed the general message from the PKK chairperson, that the PKK Unity Day was a fundamental momentum, and had an important and strategic meaning in the implementation of the 10 PKK main programs. The commemoration affirmed that the PKK Movement was managed from, by and for the community, as well as was carried out by all components of the nation in one unified goal, namely an empowered and prosperous society.

"The commemoration this year means that the PKK, in this case the Mobilizing Team and Cadres in all corners of the archipelago, should know, want and be able to be at the forefront in realizing quality families in moral, educational, health, socio-cultural, economic, and environment aspects," she stated.

Another meaning, she furthered, was that the PKK movement not only placed the family as the object or target of government programs, but was also able to initiate Indonesian families to make changes towards a better community life as the goal of national development.

During the pandemic, her side was intensifying health protocol campaign and provided nutritious food aid for people affected by the COVID-19 and Gebrak Masker.

"Based on the results of the report data processing, ± 41.3 million masks have been distributed throughout the province and testing has been done in the form of a free rapid/swab test for 51,850 people on the 2020 Mother's Day Commemoration. I'm sure, there is still a lot that has been done by PKK cadres at the urban village and sub-district levels, but not all of them have been reported," she uttered.

At the same time, Jakarta TP PKK I Vice Chairwoman Ellisa Sumarlin explained, a brief history of the development of the PKK, which was a community development movement, started with the Home Economic Seminar in Bogor in 1957 which resulted in the formulation of 10 aspects of Family Life.
