25 Illegal Buildings on Jalan Supomo Demolished

As many as 25 illegal building stood atop an 837-square-meter width land belongs to the Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Agency on Jalan Supomo, Menteng Dalam Urban Village, Tebet were demolished by personnel of South Jakarta Satpol PP, on Tueday (3/30).

South Jakarta Satpol PP Head Ujang Harmawan said it was conducted by joint personnel of Satpol PP, Transportation Agency, army, police, SDA Executing Unit, Bina Marga, Fire and Rescue Sub-agency, and PPSU, as well as two excavators, one shofel loader and 10 trucks.

Prior to the demolishment, his party had sent warning letters to the building owners to immediately leave the land last January through socialization.

"But they ignore it thus we decide to demolish the buildings," he stressed.

Tebet Sub-district Head Dyan Airlangga explained those buildings standing on the Kalibaru Barat connecting channel. Socialization had been done three times, precisely on January 13, 27 and March 8 at the Menteng Dalam Urban Village Office.
