November 18, Absorption Wells Construction in C. Jakarta Mayor Completed

There are totally 29 absorption wells in Central Jakarta Mayor's office, and is targeted to finish on November 18

The construction of 29 absorption wells located at the office of Central Jakarta Mayor, Jalan Tanah Abang I, Gambir, keep being accelerated. The project is targeted to be completed on November 18.

As quoted by beritajakarta.com, 5 out of 29 absorption wells located besides the office of One-Door Integrated Service (PTSP) was already built, yet its condition has not returned to normal. While for other wells in Block C are still in construction process.

Absorption Well Project on Jalan Tanah Abang Stagnated

"There are totally 29 absorption wells in Central Jakarta Mayor's office, and is targeted to finish on November 18," said Head of Public and Protocol Division for Central Jakarta Administration, Bakwan Ginting, Tuesday (11/11).

According to Ginting, such construction has been ongoing since October. Besides accommodating rainwater, the well also used to maintain and improve the ground water level and prevent land subsidence.

"At this time, some have been built and the rest are still in the construction and finishing process," he uttered.
