Saluran di Jalan Palmerah Utara Diperlebar

Channel on Jalan Palmerah Utara Widened

The Palmerah Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Executing Unit is widening the water channel on Jalan Palmerah Utara, Palmerah, West Jakarta from 15 centimeters to 60 centimeters width.

It is targeted to be complete for two months

Palmerah Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head, Pepen said it was carried out to follow on the residents' report in the Musrenbang.

"To smoothen it, we had to close down Jalan Palmerah Utara temporarily for two months," he expressed, Thursday (4/1).

Two Water Channels Widened in Sukabumi Selatan

He disclosed the area was a hot spot for inundation, especially during heavy rains. It happened, because of the small dimensions of the channel, causing queues for water and channels that were unoptimally accommodating water.

He added the channel being widened was 103 meters length and 60 centimeters depth. After the channel was completed, he would also build three absorption wells which would be placed beside the channel. By so, it could accommodate water in large quantities.

"The infiltration well is still in planning, as we have to discuss this further with the residents. It is targeted to be complete for two months," he stated.
