East Jakarta Starts Vaccinating 600 Teachers Today

Those 600 teachers are from 10 sub-districts. In this first dose, we have prepared 11 classrooms

As many as 600 teachers serving under the East Jakarta administration have started to enter the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination at SMAN 22 Utan Kayu Selatan, Matraman today, Tuesday (4/6).

SMAN 22 Principal Agus Wahyu Sutopo disclosed it had been started since 8 AM to 3 PM. Until the upcoming Friday (4/9), he was targeting to inject around 2,400 teachers.

"Those 600 teachers are from 10 sub-districts. In this first dose, we have prepared 11 classrooms," he said.

He explained as many as 49 health workers had been on standby to support it. There were also 16 members of PPSU, 5 members of Satpol PP, 5 members of Transportation Sub-agency, as well as 10 school staffs seconded to security.

"We urge all to come on time and always adhere to the 3M's health protocol," he stressed.

He added the vaccination was actually for the plan of direct teaching and learning activities (KBM) in the forthcoming July, as well as in preparation for face-to-face KBM activities in a number of schools on Wednesday (4/7).
