Jakarta Government and PT. Tokopedia signed cooperation agreement (PKS) regarding Utilization of Tokopedia Application in Context of Integrated Entrepreneurship Development in DKI Jakarta Province. The PKS signing took place at Sekda Meeting Room II, Jakarta City Hall, Monday (4/12).

This cooperation agreement is valid for two years from the time it was signed

Jakarta Government was represented by Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperative, Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) Agency which carries out duty in developing and fostering cooperatives, micro, small, medium enterprises (MSMEs) and trade in Jakarta.

As for PT. Tokopedia as the second party, has a regional digital economy development program which is expected to support MSMEs business, communities, and other related parties.

This PKS is expected to facilitate MSMEs to provide information and interact directly with consumers, expand market, increase business competence, and increase sales.

Jakarta PPKUKM Agency Head, Andri Yansyah explained the object of PKS is the use of Tokopedia application service in the context of developing integrated entrepreneurship in Jakarta.

The scope of this cooperation agreement includes:

a. Product marketing for entrepreneurs assisted by Jakarta PPKUKM Agency who are involved in Integrated Entrepreneurship Development Program (PKT) in Jakarta;

b. Exchange of data fostered entrepreneurs in Jakarta Province in order to support business development;

c. Facilitating licensing registration socialization and participation in PKT program for MSMEs in Jakarta who have joined Tokopedia;

d. Facilitating technical guidance, training, mentoring, as well as facilitating speakers for training and mentoring to the fostered entrepreneurs under Jakarta PPKUKM who are involved in implementing PKT program;

e. Organizing training of trainer for entrepreneurial companions; and

f. Providing information and promotional activities and monitoring and evaluating the implementation of cooperation.

"This cooperation agreement is valid for two years from the time it was signed. MSMEs in Indonesia actually dominate the business sector. But MSMEs are now facing challenges, namely digitalization in business sector in order to survive in the midst of competition. Thus it needs an effort to facilitate MSMEs to provide information and interact directly with consumers, expand the market, improve business competence, and increase sales through collaboration between Jakarta Government and digital platform," he stated after PKS signing at Jakarta City Hall.

PT. Tokopedia's Regional Government Relation Division Head, Emmiryzan expressed his gratitude to Jakarta Government for that PKS signing.

"The point is to improve economy in Jakarta. MSMEs are traditional traders in Jakarta. The goal will be discussed gradually with agency head. Regarding how to make MSMEs interested in using our application thus they can sell their products more widely," he mentioned.
