Joint Personnel Collect Two Cubic Meters of Waste in Kelapa Island

Joint personnel from PPSU, health center, and Thousand Islands Environment (LH) Sub-agency were carried out Gerebek Sampah activity in Kelapa Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands Sub-district.

Temporarily it will be disposed to Kelapa Island Dumpsite (TPS) while waiting for KM Bersih Laut boat to arrive

Kelapa Island Urban Village Acting Head (Plt), Muslim said, Gerebek Sampah activity was focused on official residences of doctors and health workers and its surrounding area, as well as Kelapa Island Main Pier.

"We collect two cubic meters of waste. Temporarily it will be disposed to Kelapa Island Dumpsite (TPS) while waiting for KM Bersih Laut boat to arrive," he explained, Wednesday (4/14).

According to him, this activity was done to maintain cleanliness in the area to prevent spread of disease.

"Through Gerebek Sampah, we want Kelapa Island, especially Kelapa Island Main Pier as the entrance for tourists, to look clean, beautiful and comfortable," he stated.
