The 52-meter length water channel repair on Jalan Sirsak, RW 10 Utan Kayu Utara, Matraman, East Jakarta is targeted to be complete by the end of this week.
Matraman Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Task Force Coordinator, Agus Sutono said the repair work conducted by 11 personnel had touched 90 percent.
Gongseng River Bridge Repaired"This repair is done, as the channel condition has been badly damaged with age and has experienced sedimentation due to piles of garbage, sand and rocks," he said, Friday (4/16).
He explained it was carried out by installing river stones on the collapsed sheet pile and making a "holder" for the concrete plate to cover the channel.
"It is done manually using simple tools," he closed.
