Access to Sentiong River JPO will Be Closed with Plant Pots

Central Jakarta Government will close access to Sentiong River Pedestrian Bridge (JPO) which connects to Tanah Tinggi and Kampung Rawa Urban Villages, Johar Baru Sub-district.

After doing these efforts, we will evaluate it whether it can suppress brawl in the location or not

Central Jakarta Mayor, Dhany Sukma conveyed, his side closed the access by placing bougainvillea plant pots to anticipate brawls that often occurs between teenagers from two urban villages.

"We will place plant pots along the bridge thus it can't be used for access to brawl," he mentioned, Wednesday (4/21).

Moreover, his side will also reduce level of brawl by placing 'Peace Bridge' signpost.

"After doing these efforts, we will evaluate it whether it can suppress brawl in the location or not," he said.

Meanwhile, his side is still processing proposals from residents of Kampung Rawa and Tanah Tinggi Urban Villages who want this bridge to be dismantled.

"There are stages to write-off asset, including its age and eligibility. This still becomes our concern, but we keep processing residents' proposal," he stated.
