Channel on Jalan Griya Pratama Raya Cleaned from Mud

Some 13 personnel of the Kelapa Gading Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Executing Unit, North Jakarta are seen dredging the water channel on Jalan Griya Pratama Raya, Pegangsaan Dua Urban Village.
To do it, we use simple tools and an alkon pump in a bid to dry up the channel for optimally transporting mud
"The channel is dredged to 330 meters length with 70 centimeters width with 40 centimeters depth," expressed Kelapa Gading SDA Executing Unit Head, Citrin Indriati, Wednesday (4/21).
She explained it had been ongoing since April 6 and was targeted to be done by the end of this April. Thus far it had touched 150 centimeters length and as many as 4,150 sacks of garbage and mud were successfully transported from the channel.

She uttered the problem faced in the work was many of the channels were closed inrit by residents.
"To fix it, our personnel enter into the inrit for doing dredging," she told.
She added it was actually conducted to follow up on the request of local residents and as in anticipation of inundation and flooding in the region.
