550 Technicians Targeted to Undergo Emission Tests Training This Year

Jakarta Environmental (LH) Agency says as many as 550 technicians will soon be targeted for being trained in vehicle emission tests, with details 500 for car and 50 for motorcycle.

It is done to create professional, reliable, and integrity technician human resources

Environmental Pollution Prevention Division Head, Tiyana said 500 technicians were recruited from 213 workshops and 50 were from 23 workshops.

According to her, the training was divided into eight stages with a duration of eight days. It would involve trainers from the LH Agency, as well as Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Agency.

"The material given is in the form of theory and practice, including regulations on air pollution control, motor vehicle engineering, emission test techniques, emission test information systems," she expressed, Monday (4/26).

She explained that it was aimed at adding the number of technicians capable of conducting emission tests. Apart from the certificate, they could have an E-Test Emission account upon completion of the training. Practically the workshops where these technicians work were registered and had implemented the E-Emission Test system.

"It is done to create professional, reliable, and integrity technician human resources in conducting vehicle emission tests. Thus it will trigger other workshops open emission tests in Jakarta," she uttered.
