About 20 joint personnel from South Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-agency, Health Sub-agency, General Affairs, Satpol PP, PMI, and internal security (Pamdal), carried out fire simulation in South Jakarta Mayor Office Building on Monday (4/26).

Simulation is carried out to ensure our personnel are well prepared in carrying out evacuation

This simulation was directly monitored by South Jakarta Acting Mayor (Plt), Isnawa Adji. In this simulation, fifth floor of Mayor Building where Satpol PP work was described on fire.

"Simulation is carried out to ensure our personnel are well prepared in carrying out evacuation, fire fighting, assistance to fire victims, and others in accordance with their main duties and functions," he explained.

Moreover, he mentioned, fire simulation was carried out in accordance with Jakarta Secretary Instruction to determine readiness of officers, facilities, infrastructure, and disaster management methods.

"It is a part of exercise, thus when fire occurs, we are ready. In this building, all facilities and infrastructure should be functioned well. Because we don't know what disaster that will occur, whether earthquake, fire, or flood," he said.
