West Jakarta, 23 Trees Fallen Due to Rain with Strong Wind Have Been Moved to Safer Place

Heavy rain with strong wind which occurred on Wednesday (4/14) caused dozens of trees falling in West Jakarta. Joint officers were deployed to move fallen trees from yesterday afternoon to night.

All fallen trees have been evacuated by involving joint personnel since late afternoon to night

West Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency Head, Jauhar Arifin conveyed, 23 fallen trees on the roads had been moved to safer place by joint officers from West Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency, Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-agency, and PPSU.

"All fallen trees have been evacuated by involving joint personnel since late afternoon to night," he said, Thursday (4/15) morning.

12 Trees alongside Jalan H Naman Pruned

He informed, there were 3 fallen trees in Kebon Jeruk Sub-district, while the rest in Kembangan Sub-district. Types of those fallen trees were angsana, banyan, sengon, jackfruit, trembesi, and others.

According to him, most fallen trees were in Permata Buana BPN Complex, Kembangan Sub-district.

"We urge vehicle owners to be more careful and as much as possible not to park their vehicles right under shady trees when there is heavy rain with strong wind," he mentioned.
