Latest Information on COVID-19 Cases and Vaccination in Jakarta as of April 26, 2021

Jakarta Government urges all people to be more disciplined in implementing 3M health protocols because COVID-19 positive cases are still increasing. Although the government continues to intensify 3T action, it needs cooperation from the community to break the chain of COVID-19 transmission.

Number of people tested for PCR in the past week reached 63,669

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head, Dwi Oktavia stated, based on the latest data from Jakarta Health Agency, PCR test has been carried out to 8,558 specimens. From that amount, 6,846 specimens have been tested today to diagnose new cases with total of 749 positive results and 6,097 negative results. Besides, Antigen test was also conducted to 2,483 people with 45 positive results and 2,438 negative results.

"For information, 346,547 PCR tests have been carried out per 1 million population. While the number of people tested for PCR in the past week reached 63,669. Number of positive cases declined by 560 cases thus in total it reached 6,557 active cases as of today (including people who are still being treated/isolated)," she explained as quoted in Jakarta PPID Press Release.

Meanwhile for total confirmed cases in Jakarta as of today reached 405,812 cases. It should be noted that positive antigen test results in Jakarta were not included in total positive cases because all were reconfirmed by PCR.

From total positive cases, 392,595 people recovered with recovery rate of 96.7% and 6,660 people died with mortality rate of 1.6%. While mortality rate in Indonesia reached 2.7%

For positivity rate or positive cases percentage in the past week in Jakarta reached 9.1%, while the percentage of positive cases in total reached 11%. WHO also set standard positive cases percentage no more than 5%.

Vaccination process is still ongoing. Vaccination target for stage 1 and 2 (for health workers, elderly and public servants) is 3,000,689 people. Currently, first dose vaccination has been given to 1,796,387 people (59.9%) and second dose vaccination to 1,059,589 people (35.3%).

In detail, for health workers, first dose vaccination has been given to 126,663 people (112.8%) and second dose to 110,297 people (98.2%) with total vaccination target 112,301 people.

For elderly group, first dose vaccination has been given to 565,919 people (62.1%) and second dose to 394,656 people (43.3%) with total vaccination target 911,631 people. In public service group, first dose vaccination has been given to 1,103,805 people (55.8%) and second dose to 554,636 people (28.1%) with total vaccination target 1,976,757 people.

Jakarta Satpol PP also gives sanction for anyone who don't wear mask and violate health protocols, and intensifies guest book data collection. It is hoped that people can be more disciplined in implementing health protocols and participating in breaking the chain of COVID-19 transmission.

Based on daily report submitted by Jakarta Satpol PP on April 25, 2021, at 18:00, Satpol PP had collected fine Rp 2,350,000. With hope all residents can be more disciplined and participated in breaking the chain of COVID-19 transmission.

Jakarta Government advised people who want to enter Jakarta to carry out self-examination for COVID-19 through JakCLM feature at JAKI application. By using JakCLM, people can get information about COVID-19 risks and various recommendations according to the risks they have. People's contribution in filling JakCLM can help Jakarta Government in preventing COVID-19 spread in Jakarta.

Jakarta Provincial Government is still opening opportunity for residents who want to provide assistance to the others who affected by COVID-19 through Large-scale Social Collaboration (KSBB) Program.
