IKRA Program Held in Harapan and Tidung Islands

In second quarter of 2021, Thousand Islands Library and Archive (Pusip) Sub-agency carried out Inisiatif Keluarga Ringkas Aksara (IKRA) program in Tidung Island Urban Village, South Thousand Islands Sub-district and Harapan Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands Sub-district.

We lend 100 books for 50 families (2 books per family) in each urban v illage

Thousand Islands Library and Archive Technical Unit 1 Section Head, Cecep Suryadi said, IKRA program is implemented in two urban villages from April 19 to May 3.

"We lend 100 books for 50 families (2 books per family) in each urban village. We ask them to read and summarize the main ideas of the book," he mentioned, Tuesday (4/27).

Central Jakarta, 200 People Participate in The Second Phase of IKRA

After submitting book summary to librarian in urban village, his side will select the best summary.

"People with the best five summaries will get souvenir and all residents who participate in this program will receive certificate signed by Jakarta Library Agency Head," he explained.

Residents seemed enthusiastic to join IKRA program. Because participants in the first quarter which held in Panggang Island and Untung Jawa Island Urban Villages had exceeded the target.

"More than 50 families participate in this program. They can also summarize the books well. We are grateful for collaboration with TP PKK in each urban villages," he stated.
