Pegadungan Residents Receive Public Washing Facility

Residents of RW 09 and 02, Pegadungan Urban Village, Kalideres, West Jakarta received assistance in form of water tank and public washing facility through CSR program of PAM Jaya. This assitance is expected to give benefits to residents.

This washing facility is very clean and comfortable to use

Echi (46), resident of RT 07/09, Pegadungan Urban Village said, before receiving assistance, she and her neighbors often washed clothes in river.

"Of course we are very grateful. This washing facility is very clean and comfortable to use. If possible, we hope the washing area can be expanded thus more residents can wash their clothes," she conveyed, Friday (4/30).

Kalideres Sub-district Head, Naman Setiawan said that in the future, management and maintenance of the washing facility will be handled by local residents.

"We appreciate assistance from PAM Jaya who cares about the environment, especially in RW 09 and 02 which are located near Maja River. This assistance is very useful," he stated.

PAM Jaya Service Director, Syahrul mentioned, his side will follow up inputs submitted by residents regarding public washing facility. With positive inputs, his side will ensure to give better service and assistance for residents in the future.

"There are 2 water tanks. One of them has capacity 4,000 liters water for drinking. Residents can buy it for only Rp 400 per jerry can. Then another water tank has 2,000 liters water for washing clothes and it is free. Water is supplied from PAM Jaya," he explained.
