East Jakarta Mayor Distributes Assistance to Hasbiyallah Islamic Boarding School

East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar distributed assistance to Hasbiyallah Islamic Boarding School (Pesantren) on Jl. Raya Bekasi Timur RT 015/01, Jatinegara Urban Village, Cakung on Friday (4/30). This Pesantren is specifically accommodates students from orphans and underprivileged families.

This activity is routinely carried out every Friday

On this visit, he was accompanied by related officials, such as Cakung Sub-district Head, Ahmad Salahudin; Jatinegara Urban Village Head, Slamet Sihabudin; East Jakarta Community Welfare Section Head, Mukhtar and others.

Assistance was given in Safari Friday activity which carried out every Friday. Besides, East Jakarta Government also distributed other assistance such as rice, dates, side dishes, and fund.

His side also distributed herbs to students to improve their immunity to avoid COVID-19.

"This activity is routinely carried out every Friday to keep in touch with residents and facilitate the existing problems," he added.

Hasbiyallah Islamic Boarding School Head, Karimullah explained, this Islamic Boarding School accommodates orphaned children and children from underprivileged families in various regions. Not only from Jakarta, but there are also students from Mamuju, Palembang, Aceh, Batam, Riau, and other regions.

"Currently we have 30 students, all of them are girls. In the future we will also develop it for male students," he conveyed.

In this Islamic Boarding School, his side provided education from Kindergarten, Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, integrated Islamic junior high schools, SMK, and Madrasah Aliyah. Students who study in here are not charged for their education because they are orphans and come from underprivileged families.
