Thousand Islands Regent Junaedi opens Ramadhan Fest which is held simultaneously in six sub-districts in North and South Thousand Islands sub-districts starting May 4 to 8.
It is a bazaar activity in collaboration with the Thousand Islands Industry Trade Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) Sub-agency in collaboration with related regional apparatus organizations (OPD) and Regional-owned Enterprises (BUMD).

"Hopefully it can help make it easier for residents to get what they need at affordable price compared to market prices. Moreover this is already nearing Eid al-Fitr," he expressed, Tuesday (5/4).
Thousand Islands PPKUKM Sub-agency Head Bangun Richard added, besides BUMD and Dekranasda booths, there were also as many as 84 Jakpreneurs under PPKUKM Sub-agency, KPKP Sub-agency, Tourism and Creative Economy Sub-agency and PPAPP Sub-agency.
"We curate the best ones that already have business licenses and whose products are needed by the community. It is expected to market and develop its products," he explained.
In the meantime, coached Jakprenuer Member Dewiyana (40) felt grateful as she had been given the opportunity and facilitated to participate in the event.
"I sell breadfruit chips, a pack sold at Rp 5,000 and candied seaweed and lunkhead of seaweed costs Rp 10,000," she explained.
She admitted her business products had had few orders during the pandemic.
"Thank you, I can participate in the event to market my products. Hopefully many buyers come to the bazaar," she added.
As reported earlier, the event was located in Kelapa Island Urban Village (in front of urban village office), Panggang Island Urban Village (on yard of Kabupatan Plaza), Harapan Island Urban Village (at Terpadu Park), Tidung Island Urban Village (in front of urban village office), Pari Island Urban Village (in main pier area), and Untung Jawa Island (at Arsa Park).
