41,066 Travelers Have Departed from Pasar Senen Station

The Pasar Senen Train Station, Central Jakarta has noted that as many as 41,066 passengers have been departed to their hometown since May 1 to 5.

As of May 1, as many as 6,904 passengers have been departed from the station

PTKAI Daops 1 Public Relations Head, Eva Chairunisa said there were no additional seats and continued to enforce the health protocol by implementing 70 percent of the passenger capacity per car.

"As of May 1, as many as 6,904 passengers have been departed from the station," she stated, Wednesday (5/5).

Two Terminals Designated to Serve Travelers with Urgent Needs

Then on May 2, as many as 20 trains were operated to carry 6,915 passengers. While 7,841 were departed using 20 trains on May 3, 9,351 were departed on May 5 and 10,055 were departed using 20 trains.

She added, during homecoming ban on May 6 to 17, the Long Distance Train (KAJJ) was still operated with a limited number of urgent travelers for non-homecoming purposes.

In Daops 1 area, she furthered, seven trains were available. Four departed from Gambir Station and three departed from Pasar Senen Station heading to Tegal, Purwokerto, Purwosari, Solo, Surabaya, and Malang.  

"They (trains) are only available for urgent travelers for non-homecoming purposes, including government service trips, ASN, BUMN, police and army, private employees by attaching written travel permits and the results of the COVID-19 examination.
