Central Jakarta Distributes 250 Staple Food Packages to Local Artists

Central Jakarta Government through Culture Sub-agency distributed 250 staple food packages to local artists. Central Jakarta Mayor, Dhany Sukma, symbolically handed over the aid to artist at Mayor Office's yard, on Friday (5/7).

The purpose of this activity is to share with local artists

He assessed that social aid distribution is a form fo government's concern towards local artist who are affected by COVID-19 pandemic.

"Don't see what the aid, but the sincerity in sharing in order to celebrate Eid with family," he mentioned.

Ahead of Eid, commodity prices usually hikes. In order to suppress the price hike, he continued, his side distributed aid to groups that considered have positive contribution to Central Jakarta's development, one of them was local artists.

"The purpose of this activity is to share with local artists. Hopefully this assistance can be improved," he said.

Central Jakarta Culture Sub-agency Head, M. Nurdin explained, each packages contained of rice, sugar, cooking oil, meat, sardines, soy sauce, instant noodles, snacks, and toiletries.

"This aid is one of our concern to them thus local artists in Central Jakarta can celebrate Eid with their family at home," he conveyed.

At the same location, Jose Rizal Manua, Indonesian Theater actor, expressed his gratitude for Central Jakarta Government's concern for providing assistance to ease burden of local artists.

"I hope this assistance can ease our burden. Currently, artist have difficulty to get job in performing due to pandemic. Hopefully COVID-19 will end soon and we can live normally again," he said.
