Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Figures as of May 5

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of May 5.

The number of people tested last week has reached 61,795

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated, based on the latest data, the swab tests had been carried out on 14,249 specimens. 10,686 of them were to diagnose new cases with 845 positive and 9,841 negative results. In addition, an antigen test was also held today, where 5,039 were tested, with 68 positive results and 4,971 negative results.

"The number of people tested last week has reached 61,795, while 354,108 people have undergone the swab tests. As for the number of active cases in Jakarta, date was 6,978 people who were undergoing self-isolation at home (including data of athlete's homestead) or increased to 167 cases," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta's PPID press release, Wednesday (5/5).

Latest Information on COVID-19 Cases and Vaccination in Jakarta as of May 4, 2021

As for the total number of confirmation cases in Jakarta to date was 412,418 cases. Of these cases, 398,610 people were cured with a cure rate reaching 96.7% and 6,830 people died with a world with a death rate of 1.7%, while Indonesia's death rate was 2.7%. The positivity rate in the last week in Jakarta was 9.0%, while Indonesia was 10.9%. WHO also set a standard percentage of positive cases of no more than 5%.
