Illegal Parking, 19 Cars Towed

High intensity of illegal parking operation held by South Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department seemed to not making the drivers wary to park illegally. As a proof, 19 vehicles were towed in a week.

“This week there are 19 vehicles we towed because of illegal parking. We also ticketed 60 vehicles and removed the tire valves of 92 vehicles,” stated Head of South Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department Monitoring and Control Section, AB Nahor, Monday (11/17).

According to Nahor, his department is always cooperating with the police in illegal parking operation. So, vehicle owner who violated the rule can be directly ticketed.

Illegal Parking Operation Fine Contributes Big to City’s Income

“Every day there are teams that monitor illegal parking points at Kalibata, Tebet, Setiabudi, and Blok M. But, many people are still parking their vehicles on roadsides. Almost every day we towed at least two cars,” he said.
