100 Personnel Deployed to TPUs and Protocol Roads in Central Jakarta

Monas area is also our priority here

As many as 100 personnel of Central Jakarta Satpol PP have been alerted at Karet Bivak, Karet Pasar Baru Barat and Kawi - Kawi public cemeteries (TPU), as well as in Monas and HI Roundabout areas on the second day of Eid al-Fitri, on Friday (5/14).

Central Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Bernard Tambunan said it was conducted to enforce the Governor's Instruction on the temporary closure of grave pilgrimage activities.

"A number of residents had come for pilgrimage, but after receiving an explanation from the officers at the entrance, they understood and returned home," he explained.

Aside that, personnel at city level were also sent to a number of locations, including the Monas area and the HI Roundabout.

"Monas area is also our priority here," he stressed.

He added that the mask operation was held in eight sub-districts, including raid against street vendor (PKL) on several protocol roads. As a result, 17 people in Cempaka Putih area were netted and subject to social work sanctions.

"Certainly we keep monitoring health protocols in a number of protocol roads," he closed.
