Raid Against Public Transport Held to Give Comfort

The personnel of West Jakarta Transportation Sub-department held a raid against public transport in order to give comfort for passenger. The raid which held today (Monday 11/17) netted 30 public transports and 2 unregistered drivers.

The raid involved more than 25 personnel of the sub-department, and held on Jalan Gajah Mada, Jalan Mangga Dua, Jalan Hayam Wuruk, and near Beos Station.
West Jakarta Head Section of Monitoring and Handling for Sub-dept. of Transportation, Imam Slamet, said the raid is held based on Act No 22/2009 about Traffic and Road Transport. "About 30 public transports such as mikrolet and KWK have been ticketed due to stop their vehicles recklessly," Imam said.
East Jakarta to Set Up 5 Healthcare Posts in Flood-Prone AreasOf 30 netted public transports, 28 drivers were given ticket, while the rests are grounded to Rawa Buaya Terminal. It is because the two drivers are unregistered and unable to show the vehicle certificates.
"It is held to give the deterrent effect for the driver to be more discipline," he added.
Sihombing (48), M13 Mikrolet driver (Kalideres - Kota) could do nothing during the raid. "I stopped there waiting passengers from Beos Station," he told.
