Makasar Opens Two Swab Test Services for Travelers

The swab tests have been operated since today until May 30

The Makasar Sub-district, East Jakarta has provided swab tests, also called polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests in Makasar Sport Hall (GOR) and Cipinang Melayu Urban Village Office for travelers who return to Jakarta.

Makasar Sub-district Head, Kamal Alatas said Makasar Sub-district GOR was prioritized for travelers from Makasar, Halim Perdanakusuma, Pinang Ranti and Kebon Pala urban villages. As for Cipinang Melayu Urban Village Office was dedicated to those from its region.

"The swab tests have been operated since today until May 30," he said, Sunday (5/16)

He urged the COVID-19 Task Force Chairpersons at RW level to collaborate with RT chairpersons in order to ensure its residents who go on homecoming trip to undergo a swab test.

"Together with three pillars, we're ready to escort and ensure the travelers to take the swab test," he said.

While waiting for swab test results, he explained, travelers were required to undergo temporary self-isolation at the Makassar Sub-district GOR and the Cipinang Melayu Urban Village Office or at their respective homes, if they met the requirements for self-isolation.

"We start to operate at 8 AM to 3 PM," he closed.
