Central Jakarta Mayor Monitors Covid Checkpoint Post in Gambir

This is free of charge, thus there is no reason to refuse to undergo an antigen test

Together with his staff, Central Jakarta Mayor Dhany Sukma took the time to monitor the rapid antigen test service post on Jalan KH Hasyim Ashari, Duri Pulo Urban Village, Gambir, on Wednesday (5/19).

According to him, the service was free of charge and dedicated to residents who just returned from the hometown after Eid al-Fitr holiday.

"This is free of charge, thus there is no reason to refuse to undergo an antigen test," he expressed.

Gambir Sub-district Head, Fauzi explained as many as 156 residents had returned from their hometown and had undergone the antigen test since Monday (5/17).

"Three tested positive for Covid-19 and had been isolated at the Wisma Atlet Kemayora," he explained.

Based on the report of Data Warga apps as of May 19, at least 682 took homecoming trip and had returned to Jakarta.

Central Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Sub-agency (Dukcapil) Acting Head, those 682 people were from Johar Baru (230 people), Kemayoran (167 people), Menteng (67 people), Gambir (64 people), Tanah Abang (50 people), Senen (47 people), Sawah Besar (45 people), and Cempaka Putih (12 people).

"457 are men and 225 are women," he uttered, Wednesday (5/19).

Of 682 residents, 181 out of them already had health documents from their hometown. They were negative for Covid-19 and the rest 501 were directed to take the antigen and swab tests.

"We're doing this to stop the chain of Covid-19 transmission in Central Jakarta," he closed.
