750 Residents of RT 03/03 Cilangkap Undergo Mass Swab Test

This swab test will take three or four days

As many as 750 residents of RT03/03 Cilangkap, Cipayung East Jakarta, underwent a mass swab test, on Thursday (5/20). It was held after 18 households or 51 people tested positive for Covid-19.

Cipayung Sub-district Head, Fajar Eko Satrio said it was held on an empty land, Jalan As-Syafi'iyah, RT 03/03 Cilangkap.

"This swab test will take three or four days," he expressed.

He furthered similar action would also be held to other neighborhoods soon.

"If someone shows reactive potential, he/she will undergo swab test," he stressed.

East Jakarta Metro Resort Police Chief, Comr. Pol. Erwin Kurniawan explained that the Covid-19 case in the area started when a family checked themselves to find out if they were exposed to Covid-19 and the results were positive. It was because they held open house during Eid al-Fitr.

"In total, there are 51 people positive for Covid," he uttered.

Seeing this case, he decided to implement the local-scale strict control (PKBL) or partial lockdown for 14 days.

"We'll intensify health protocols monitoring in order to prevent the new cluster," he closed.
