We will apply highest parking rates for vehicles that haven't carried out vehicle emission test

Jakarta Transportation Agency's Parking Management Unit Head, Adji Kusambarto targeted to apply this policy in early June. His side is currently socializing people about this policy which planned to be applied in three locations while waiting for Jakarta Gubernatorial Regulation revision in determining the maximum parking rate.

"It is done to support Jakarta Blue Sky program where we will apply highest parking rates for vehicles that haven't carried out vehicle emission test. Next month we will apply it in three other locations," he mentioned, Friday (5/21).

Jakartans, Here is Free Emission Test Schedule in January 2021

Previously, this regulation had been applied in three locations, namely IRT Monas parking area, Satpas SIM or Samsat on Jl. Daan Mogot, and Blok M parking area.

He expected this progressive parking rate policy can raise public awareness to immediately test their vehicle emissions in supporting Jakarta Blue Sky program.

This policy, he continued, will be applied in 79 parking locations managed by Jakarta Government. Including parking areas that are cooperated with third parties.

"Highest parking rates policy is applied to minimize mobilization of vehicles that haven't conducted emission test. As well as to reduce traffic jam," he explained.
