Motorcycle Restriction Trial Held December

Jakarta Provincial Government keeps socialization the restriction of motorcycle passing on Jalan Thamrin starts from Bundaran Hotel Indonesia (HI) to Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat. Trial will be held on the second week of December.
After the trial, it will valid for 24 hours from Monday to Sunday
Jakarta Transportation Department Vice, Benjamin Bukit said, his side still processing the preparation for application of regulation. Such as double-decker bus procurement and traffic sign installation.
"After the trial, it will valid for 24 hours from Monday to Sunday," said Bukit at Jakarta City Hall, Monday (11/17).
Ahok Inauguration Tomorrow or WednesdayBukit added there will be 10 double-decker bus to support this regulation. The bus will operate from Bundaran HI to Harmoni route. But, the bus is just operated until 10 PM.
Law base of this regulation is Act No 22/2009 about traffic and road transportation, Government Regulation (PP) No 32/2011, and strengthened with City Regulation (Perda) No 1/2012. "It arranges about the motor-vehicle restriction. The last we use Perda No 5/2011," he added.
Bukit admitted, the choosen location is already right because of well-provided public transports. Moreover, Transjakarta Bus Corridor 1 (Blok M-Kota) is operated for 24 hours.
"The requirement of public transport must fulfill the needs before we apply the policy. Transjakarta corridor 1 lane is free from other vehicles," he uttered.
Besides, Bukit continued, it is also a learning moment for citizen before application of electronic road pricing (ERP). The rider has been given option to use the public transportation for passing that route.
