PT Transjakarta Makes Time Adjustments for its Services

PT Transjakarta Jakarta (Transjakarta) once again changed the operational system of Transjakarta buses in a bid to contain the spread of Covid-19 outbreak amid the micro-scale public activity restrictions (PPKM Mikro).

It will be effective for a week, precisely starting on May 23-31

It was applied to support the Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub)'s Decree number 196/2021 on the Extension of Technical Instructions for Limiting Transport Capacity and Operational Time for Internal Transportation Facilities amid PPKM Mikro.

PT Transjakarta Operational Director, Prasetia Budi disclosed that its operational was shortened at 5 AM to 9:30 PM, including the evening service (Amari) until 11 PM.

"It will be effective for a week, precisely starting on May 23-31," he expressed, Monday (5/24).

He explained the service for medical personnel would also be changed from 9:30 PM to 11 PM, previously operating from 10 PM to 11 PM.

"This is to ensure that all medical workers who are still on duty are well-served, safe and comfortable," he explained.

He added the number of commuters was still at 50 percent from normal capacity provided that articulated buses (60 customers), medium buses (30 customers), small buses (15 customers), and mikrotrans (5 customers).

All fleets were confirmed to have complied with health protocols, starting from washing and cleaning each bus unit using disinfectant liquid to installing safety distance signs on both the floor and customer seats.

"We call on all commuters to obey with health protocols," he stressed.
