Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Figures as of May 28

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of May 28.

The number of people tested last week has reached 68,630

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated, based on the latest data, the swab tests had been carried out on 12,972 specimens. 9,599 of them were to diagnose new cases with 693 positive and 8,906 negative results. In addition, an antigen test was also held today, where 8,572 were tested, with 148 positive results and 8,424 negative results.

"The number of people tested last week has reached 68,630, while 370,999 people have undergone the swab tests. As for the number of active cases in Jakarta, date is 10,677 people who are undergoing self-isolation at home (including data of athlete's homestead) or decreased to 236 cases," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta's PPID press release, Friday (5/28).

Latest Information on COVID-19 Cases and Vaccination in Jakarta as of May 27, 2021

As for the total number of confirmation cases in Jakarta to date was 427,462 cases. Of these cases, 409,497 people were cured with a cure rate reaching 95.8% and 7,288 people died with a world with a death rate of 1.7%, while Indonesia's death rate was 2.8%. The positivity rate in the last week in Jakarta was 7.7%, while Indonesia was 10.8%. WHO also set a standard percentage of positive cases of no more than 5%.

Meanwhile, the vaccination process was still ongoing. The number of vaccination targets for stages 1 and 2 (health workers, the elderly, and public servants) was 3,000,689 people. The total vaccination dose 1 was currently 2,429,534  people (81%) and the total vaccination dose 2 now reached 1,770,292 people (59%). While for the Mutual Cooperation Vaccination, the total in Jakarta was currently 10,100 people.

With the detailed, vaccination dose 1 for health workers reached 130,439 people (116.2) and vaccination dose 2 included 116,619 people (103.8%), with a vaccination target of 112,301 people.

As for the elderly, vaccination dose 1 was done to 591,661 people (64.9%) and vaccination dose 2 included 531,718 people (58.3%), with a vaccination target of 911,631 people. In the public service, vaccination dose 1 was administered to 1,707,434vpeople (86.4%) and vaccination dose 2 included 1,121,955 people (56.8%), with a vaccination target of 1,976,757 people.

On the other hand, the Jakarta administration was still providing isolation and ICU beds in handling Covid-19. Based on the Health Agency's data until May 23, there were 6,620 isolation beds, the percentage of occupancy was 28% with a total of 1,846 isolation patients. Meanwhile, 1,017 ICU beds, the percentage of filling was 31% with a total of 313 ICU patients.

Based on the daily reports on May 27 at 6 PM, there had been a total fine of Rp 4,300,000. So, it was hoped that the public could be more disciplined in implementing health protocols and participating in curbing the COVID-19.
