Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Agency is encouraging all elements such as related regional apparatus organizations (OPD), business world, farmer groups and urban agriculture activist communities, to take part in the simultaneous planting action in Jakarta, which falls on Friday (6/4) at 8 AM.

Agriculture Division Head, Mujiati said that it was held to commemorate the World Environment Day, which falls every June 5.

"The theme we take is Urban Farming for Food Security. Tomorrow we will also do Urban Farming Launching virtually," she expressed, Thursday (6/3).

She explained people who would participate in the activity could register via the link bit.ly/tanam2021.

"It can be watched by logging into Zoom with meeting ID: 2135312396 with passcode: tanam2021 and Youtube channel, Go Jak farm DKI Jakarta," she explained.

Based on the data that came in today at 2 PM, she assessed, there were 925 participants from 118 locations spread over five cities and Thousand Islands who would join.

"For those from outside Jakarta, there are 26 participants confirmed from three locations," she stated.

She added it also referred to Governor Instruction number 14/2018 on Urban Farming.

"Let's collaborate to develop urban farming in Jakarta. We preserve the environment and realize self-sufficiency in food security," she said.
