33 Netted for Not Wearing Masks in Walang Baru Market Area

The Koja Sub-district Satpol PP, North Jakarta, netted as many as 33 motorists during the mask operation in Walang Baru Market area, Jalan Alur Laut, Rawa Badak Selatan Urban Village, Koja, on Wednesday (6/9).

According to Andita, Officer of Koja Sub-district Satpol PP, it is compliance with Gubernatorial Regulation number 3/2021 on the Implementing Bylaw number 2/2020 on Handling Covid-19 and Governor Decree number 671/2021 on the Extension of the Micro-scale Public Activity Restrictions (PPKM Mikro).

"We punish them to sweep the streets and clean up trash for 60 minutes while wearing an orange vest that reads PSBB Violators," he expressed.

He added the mask operation involved around 15 officers was aimed at educating the community about the importance of implementing health protocols in daily activities, especially when outside the home.

"Hopefully they can be more disciplined, one of which is wearing masks, in a bid to break the chain of the spread of Covid-19," he hoped.
