Some 10 Jakpreneurs under the Jakarta Child Protection and Empowerment and Population Control (PPAPP) Agency have received a giveaway for proposing trademark rights registration from Bank BRI.

Hopefully it will further improve the economy and family welfare of the Jakpreneurs

It is provided in the form of a subsidy for the registration fee by Rp 1,000,000 for trademark rights. So, they only need to pay Rp 600,000 from the normal cost by Rp 1,600,000.

PPAPP Agency Head, Tuty Kusumawati appreciated the bank management and the Law and Rights Ministry who had collaborated to facilitate and provide easiness for proposing the registration of trademark rights and developing their business.

"Hopefully it will further improve the economy and family welfare of the Jakpreneurs," she expressed, Friday (6/11).

In developing business, she explained, a brand is an identity or identification that distinguishes a product from other products. It is not just a word or a logo, but also a guarantee of the quality of a product that is important to protect.

"This is important as it may support business development, provide quality assurance, security and ease of promotion for Jakpreneurs," she explained.

She added all Jakpreneurs who want to register their trademarks would be facilitated by Jakpreneur assistants at the sub-district level. A number of requirements were required, namely, attaching a photocopy of the ID card, tax identification numbers (NPWP), bringing a registration application letter, filling out the registration form and a statement letter that has been completed with stamp duty.

"They also need to attach a sample of brand etiquette and attach a letter of recommendation from the agency," he stated.
