Thousand Islands - Police Collaborates to Accelerate Vaccination

They are seen very enthusiastic to participate in the vaccination

As many as 166 residents aged 18 years or over, underwent the Covid-19 vaccination service held at the Karang Taruna youth organization building, Panggang Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands Sub-district, Monday (6/14).

Thousand Islands Resort Police Chief, AKBP Eko Wahyu Fredian said it was held simultaneously in the jurisdiction of the Polda Metro Jaya in collaboration with the Health Agency and urban village/sub-district apparatus in each region.

"They are seen very enthusiastic to participate in the vaccination," he expressed.

He explained it was carried out to support the Jakarta administration to succeed vaccination program.

"We usually do the same action every Saturday on residential islands," he explained.

North Thousand Islands Sub-district People's Welfare Division Head, Madi Muh Dali added, to get vaccine, every person should bring and show ID and family cards to the officer.

"Besides vaccination, we also provide staple food aid. Hopefully people here can be healthy and protected from the corona virus," he uttered.

In the meantime, one of participants from RT01/2, Panggang Island Urban Village, Diania Aprani (35) admitted that she was relieved to take this free vaccination.

"Based on the information, the second dose will be slated on August 14," she stated.
