Thousand Islands Forms Covid-19 Task Force to Accelerate Vaccination

We're about to intensify socialization and mobilize residents to take the vaccination

The Thousand Islands District Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimkab) has agreed to form the Covid-19 Task Force for local residents.

According to Junaedi, Regent of Thousand Islands, it was made in order to speed up the vaccination service that had reached 38 percent from the target age of 18-59 years as many as 14,557 people in six urban villages.

"We're about to intensify socialization and mobilize residents to take the vaccination," he expressed, after the coordination meeting, on Thursday (6/17).

By so, he was targeting to completely vaccinate all residents by the end of June.

"It will be held on residential islands. We also plan to put a sticker on the homes of residents who have or have received vaccine," he explained.

Thousand Islands Resort Police Operational Division Chief, Comr. Pol. Rudi Herawan admitted that he was ready to collaborate and succeed the vaccination program in Thousand Islands.

"Personnel will be sent in each area to support sweeping, socialization and education about vaccination," he closed.
