Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) School Transportation Management Unit (UPAS) sterilized school buses and crews before and after transporting COVID-19 patients.

Jakarta Dishub's UPAS Head, Ali Murthadho mentioned, sterilization was carried out to minimize COVID-19 transmission between crews, both personnel on the field and at the office.

"Every day, buses are sterilized before and after transporting COVID-19 patients. It is done as one of our efforts to protect our crews and suppress COVID-19 cases in UPAS," he asserted, Tuesday (6/22).

Every buses that have just finished evacuating COVID-19 patients immediately entered decontamination area. All parts of the bus, both outside and inside parts, were sprayed with disinfectant. Then fogging it with disinfectant and leave it for 15-25 minutes or after smoke is gone, followed by steam washing until clean.

Similar thing was also conducted to bus crews. When they got off from bus while wearing their hazmat clothes, they were sprayed with disinfectant. Then, they took off their hazmat clothes and masks and disposed it to prepared trash bin. Next, their bodies were sprayed with disinfectant and they were directed to clean themselves at bathroom and change clothes.  

Until Monday (6/21) night, there were five PJLP personnel who had been tested positive for COVID-19 and evacuated to Wisma Atlet, Kemayoran.
