East Jakarta SDA Helps Earth Fill at Semper Public Cemetery

East Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency assisted for earthwork in Semper Public Cemetery (TPU), North Jakarta that will be used as an additional burial ground for COVID-19 bodies.

We plan to fill it with clay to one meter high

East Jakarta SDA Sub-agency's Maintenance Section Head, Puryanto mentioned, earth fill at Semper Public Cemetery has been carried out since Wednesday (6/30). The land on cemetery will be mixed with clay dredged from JGC Side C Reservoir, Cakung and Ria Rio Reservoir that have been dried beforehand.

"Earth fill has been started since yesterday at Semper Public Cemetery. We plan to fill it with clay to one meter high. Since the land was originally rice field, it must be compacted first," he explained, Thursday (7/1).

On the first day, his side deployed five big trucks with capacity 22 cubic meters to transport clay which dredged from two reservoirs.
