Central Jakarta to Open Mass Vaccination for Students Next Week

Mass vaccination for students aged 12 to 18 years in eight sub-districts throughout Central Jakarta, will be held simultaneously next week.

We want to ensure that the number of vaccinators and vaccine drugs is ready to provide services

Central Jakarta Education Region II Sub-agency Head, Uripasih said, along with the Education Region I Sub-agency, his party would hold a coordination meeting together with the Health Sub-agency, to discuss the technical aspects of vaccination activities for students.

"We want to ensure that the number of vaccinators and vaccine drugs is ready to provide services," she expressed, Friday (7/2).

160 MAN 2 Ciracas Students Take a Part in Vaccination

As the initial stage, it would target public and private SMA and SMK students.

"After it is done, the next target is students aged 12-15 years," she explained.

She continued that a number of schools had been prepared to smoothen it. As planned, one sub-district would be centered in a designated school later.

"There will be eight vaccination sites," she continued.

Central Jakarta Health Sub-agency Head, Erizon Safari explained that the vaccinator staff and the number of vaccine doses were sufficient for next week.

"We will direct those in charge of providing services," he explained.

He added it was slated to be held in health facilities and schools.

"Those who will be vaccinated can go to the Puskesmas or schools that are used as vaccination centers," he stated.
