To resolve the matter, Jakarta Transportation Department sent out undercover officers to onboard public transports as passengers. If violation was found, they will take action.

“The operation pattern is that our officers go onboard buses and do red-handed operation,” told Head of Jakarta Transportation Department, Muhammad Akbar, Thursday (20/11).
In addition, Jakarta Transportation Department also opens complaint center for passengers who felt disadvantaged about unilateral tariff raise by public transport crews. They can call to (021) 3457471. The reports received will directly be followed up by the officers to take action against unruly public transport crews and operators.

“We also hope for the citizens to directly report as soon as there is violation,” he said.
