City Tax Revenue till November Rp 22.93 T

Jakarta Provincial Government's tax realization up to middle of November 2014 was Rp 22.6 trillion out of target Rp 32.5 trillion.

"Percentage of tax revenue from 13 types is 70.55 percent, or Rp 22.93 trillion," said Iwan Setiawandi, Jakarta Head Dept. of Tax Service, Saturday (11/22).

Setiawandi added that those tax types as Vehicle Tax (PKB), vehicle-ownership transfer fee (BBNKB), building acquisition fees (BPHTB), and property tax (PBB) become the highest tax revenue. Each tax types reached Rp 5 trillion.

"The revenue for PKB is 83.91 percent or Rp 4.32 trillion, BBNKB 74.53 percent or Rp 4.755 trillion, PBB 81.03 percent or Rp 5.26 trillion, and BPHTB 53.9 percent or Rp 2.69 trillion," he added.

At this moment, city administration keeps pushing the revenue from land and building tax from 2 million taxpayers.

"Our target is Rp 6.6 trillion, while during November is already reaching Rp 5.2 trillion or 81 percent," he continued.

He is optimistic that land and building tax revenue in Jakarta will receive Rp 5.5-5.8 trillion by the end of this year.

"There is hike for citizens paying tax. But, there is also compensation for social such as hospital and school as much as 50 percent, and free for praying house," he said.
