City Gives Bonus for Athletes

Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama gave money prize for two table tennis athletes from Jakarta on Thursday (11/20). The outstanding athletes namely Desi Rahmadanti and Rina Sintya were given prize as their achievement in women's doubles category of 2014 Table Tennis Championship in Brunei Darussalam.

"Each of Desi and Rina receives Rp 20 million for single event international category," told Eddy Widodo, Jakarta KONI Daily Head, Saturday (11/22).

Besides them, Eddy continued, Basuki also gave bonus to three Jakarta athletes who achieved gold medal in Asian Games XVII Incheon 2014, namely Greysia Polii, Nitya Krishinda Maheswari, and Hendra Setiawan from badminton. Each of them receive Rp 300 million.

"Rp 200 million will be given to soft tennis athlete with silver medal namely Edi Kusdaryanto. While 4 athletes with bronze medal namely Maya Rosa Stefani (soft tennis), Sharon Limansantoso, Novie Phang, and Cheya Cantika (bowling) will get Rp 50 million each," he explained.

For Asian Paragames Incheon 2014 athletes namely Dian David Jacobs who achieved one gold and one silver medals in table tennis category gets Rp 150 million as Rp 100 million for gold, and Rp 50 million for silver.

Komet Akbar who achieved silver medal in men double category and bronze medal in single category receives Rp 100 million. One table tennis athlete namely Sella Dwiradayana who achieved bronze will get Rp 50 million.

From international single event category, at least 35 athletes get bonus from six sport branches. Those are diving with three athletes, bridge man and woman 17 athletes, wushu one athlete, badminton 9 athletes including Tommy Sugiarto, bronze medalist of the 2014 Copenhagen World Championships. At climbing sport there are three athletes and two table tennis athletes.
