City’s Outstanding Athletes to Receive Bonus

There are three athletes who won gold medals. They are Greysia Polii, Nitya Krishinda Maheswari, and Hendra Setiawan (men’s double who paired with Muhammad Ahsan/PB Djarum). Meanwhile, Edi Kusdaryanto, a soft tennis athlete, will receive bonus as much as Rp 200 million for winning silver medal.

They are Maya Rosa Stefani (soft tennis), Sharon Limansantoso, Novie Phang, and Cheya Cantika (bowling). They will receive bonus as much as Rp 50 million each,” told Siswanto.
In addition, Jakarta KONI will also give bonus to coaches who have trained the outstanding athletes. One of those coaches is Herry Imam Pirngadi, a men's doubles badminton coach, whose athletes won a gold medal. He will receive bonus as much as Rp 100 million.
“The coach of men’s single soft tennis, Ferly Montolalo, will receive Rp 75 million as bonus after his athlete won a silver medal. While for Gularso Mulyadi and Thomas Tan (soft tennis) whose athletes who won bronze medals, they will receive bonus Rp 50 million each,” uttered Siswanto.
Bonus in different amount will also be given to three athletes who won medals in the 2014 Asian Paragames Incheon, precisely Rp 100 million for gold medal winner and Rp 50 million for bronze medal winner. As for Dian David Jacobs, table tennis athlete who won gold and silver medals, he will receive bonus as much as Rp 150 million.
“Komet Akbar, who won a silver medal in men’s double category and a bronze medal in men’s single category, will receive bonus Rp 100 million. And table tennis athlete who won bronze medal will get a bonus of Rp 50 million,” he added.
According to Siswanto, Jakarta Governor will also give bonus to athletes who won achievements in single events, such as world championship, Asian championship, or Southeast Asian tournament.
There are at least 35 athletes to receive bonus in this category. They consist of 3 diving athletes, 17 male-female bridge athletes, 1 wushu athlete, 9 badminton athletes (including Tommy Sugiarto who won bronze medal in the 2014 Copenhagen World Championship), 3 climbing athletes, and 2 table tennis athletes.
“Coincides with the bonus giving, Mr. Ahok will also inaugurate and send-off Jakarta Youth PON I contingent who will compete in the 2014 Youth PON I which will be held in East Java in upcoming December 9-15,” informed Siswanto.
