3,000 Cubic Meters of Mud Transported from Kali Grogol River

The West Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency has started dredging the Kali Grogol River, Palmerah. So far, they have collected around 3,000 cubic meters of mud.

Previously the mud had a thickness of about 6,000-7,000 cubic meter

Drainage Maintenance Division Head, Wawan Kurniawan said, it has been conducted since May 12 and was targeted to be complete in the upcoming August.

"Previously the mud had a thickness of about 6,000-7,000 cubic meter," he expressed, Wednesday (7/21).

He said it was dredged up to one kilometer with six meters width using an amphibious excavator.

It was carried out in the morning until the afternoon. Afterwards, the mud collected on the riverbank and then transported at night using a dump truck and dumped into Ancol area, North Jakarta.

"We also coordinate with the local regional apparatus where the work is done at night without any problems, especially to transport the mud," he stated.
