First Dose for Kids aged 12-17 in Thousand Islands Completed

They are 100% vaccinated in the first dose

The Thousand Islands Education Sub-agency Acting Head, Sri Rahayu Asih Subekti has noted that the Covid-19 vaccination for 2,855 kids aged 12-17 in Thousand Islands has finally completed.

According to her, those kids were from 31 elementary, junior high and senior high schools or those who were equal and the Center for Community Learning Activities (PKBM).

"They are 100% vaccinated in the first dose," she expressed, Sunday (8/15).

She explained, vaccination so far was still ongoing in accordance with the schedule for the second dose, which was targeted to be completed in September.

"Up to August 14, we have managed to touch 1,062 kids," she explained.

By doing so, those who were scheduled to get a second dose to immediately go to the nearest vaccination location.

"I also ask for the care of parents to accompany and direct their children. Hopefully, we will soon reach herd immunity thus face-to-face learning can be done soon," she hoped.
