Jakarta Transportation Agency's Road Transport Terminal Management Unit Head, Syamsul Mirwan conveyed, his side targeted 200 people to be vaccinated a day, consisting of bus crews, counter officers, including PO employees and local residents around terminal.
"We see effectiveness and optimization in the current vaccination implementation. Yesterday, on August 19, as many as 300 people had been vaccinated at Kampung Rambutan Terminal," he explained, Friday (8/20).
According to him, vaccination center at Kampung Rambutan Terminal also provide second dose vaccines for transportation partners from terminal and other transportation companies in Jakarta.
Although it was prioritized for residents who had their first vaccine in the location, but this vaccination center also served other residents, bus crews and drivers who wanted to take their first vaccine at Kampung Rambutan Terminal.
"We have also prepared vaccine vials to anticipate additional vaccination participants. Through this vaccination, we want to achieve herd immunity. Hopefully COVID-19 spread and risks can be suppressed thus things will return to normal soon," he mentioned.
For information, 2,025 people, consisting of local residents and staffs in the terminal had their first vaccination at Kampung Rambutan Terminal on July 19-30, 2021.
According to plan, second dose of Astrazeneca vaccination center will be also held in September 2021, where the first dose injection on last June was attended by Indonesian President, Joko Widodo; Transportation Minister, Budi Karya Sumadi; and Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan.
